The Best Supplements to Enhance Endurance
Liver-desiccated liver supplements
Studies on liver (the food) has been shown to increase endurance. Liver contains all of the required nutrients including vitamin C-although in small amounts. Studies on consuming liver has been shown to prevent fatigue and promote endurance.
Liver and desiccated liver (supplement form) contain an endurance factor that only occurs naturally in a few foods. Those foods are liver (especially pork liver), kidney, brewer’s yeast, torula yeast, wheat germ, full-fatted soy flour and dark green leafy vegetables.
Liver and desiccated liver contain a substance that promotes extreme endurance. Liver contains lecithin which breaks down cholesterol and other fats, making them safer to the body. It also contains all of the B vitamins and is a great source of protein, and the coenzyme Q10 (a powerful antioxidant). It is a great source of vitamin A, B2, B3, B6, folic acid (B9), B 12, and the minerals copper (the best-known source), iron and zinc.
Desiccated liver is a great supplement for body builders wanting muscle mass, strength, energy and endurance.
Caffeine
Caffeine stimulates the release of free fatty acids from our fat stores improving endurance. It delays the onset of fatigue by up to 60%. Too much caffeine can cause dehydration.
Green Tea
Green tea boosts endurance during physical exercise in studies done on mice.
Panax Ginseng
Panax ginseng increases endurance and blood testosterone levels and decreases blood lactate levels.
Eleutherococcus senticosus
Eleutherococcus senticosus also known as Siberian ginseng promotes recovery and improves endurance. It uses fat storage instead of carbohydrate storage for energy. This prevents lactic acid build-up which helps delay fatigue.
Vitamin B 15
Vitamin B 15 while not an essential B-complex vitamin has been shown to increase stamina (endurance). Vitamin B15 (also known as Calcium Pangamate) also helps the body to handle the physical stress of exercise without the stress of the workout causing damage to the body.
